contact import with custom fields

hi Steve,

I do not see the cutoms fields I added in the drop down menus of the import wizard, why?

I know this thread is a little stale but I was trying to do the same and Steve's advice and link did not answer Jan's question. I am evaluating worketc and have created some custom fields in a group which should be available to companies and I would like to populate them with data I am importing from a spreadsheet but Jan is correct, the custom fields I created using Settings>Custom Fields are not available in the drop-downs in the import workflow. I see Steve took Jan's question offline, can someone post an update that definitively answers this question?
