Importing old crm contacts

Thu, 1 Sep '11 @ 2:52 PM
Does anyone have experience with exporting then importing data from other CRM's? I've been using Sales Force and I'm ready to jump ship.
Thanks

Same question here.

I have currently 9000 contacts in my current CRM, Daylite (a Mac application). 5000 persons and 4000 companies (with links between those of course).

I am a bit worried of moving my contact database into WETC due to the lack of any tool for merging / "massaging" contacts and companies.

Anybody has an experience of dealing with a serious contacts database into WETC ? ie contacts / companies in thousands ?

I have send a mail sur support asking if they see any issue managing 9000 contacts but did not got any reply so far...

Hi Yannick

I'm a little concerned, as I remember reading and replying to that email. I've sent you a couple of others and not heard back, so I wonder if your spam filter is over-sensitive?

There should not be any problem in importing those contacts. If the person contact records include their company name then the company records will be created automatically from them. Alternatively you can create all the company records and then import the personal contacts.

The important point to note is that records are indexed by Email address and then name - records need unique email addresses.

For example, you could not set the company email address for WORKetc as support@worketc.com and also add me as a personal contact with the same email address.

The next couple of days are looking pretty busy, but if you're not receiving emails from us I'll try to call you.

Hi Steve,
I cannot find any emails from you since our last chat about training. I am in the process of moving my main email account to Google apps so maybe the mails are getting lost in the middle.

I just sent you a mail from a backup email address. I hope I will get the replies on this one !
