How do I Turn on Customer/Client Access for a Project?#76

WORK[etc] allows you to invite your customers to collaborate on projects. For example, you could use this feature in the event that you want to share updates and project documents with a client.

Let's get started:

1 Firstly, turn on your global customer access setting. Settings > Contacts Settings. Enable "Allow customers to sign in and view invoices, support cases etc.

2  For the specific customer you want to grant access for, edit their profile and provide a Primary Email (this is their username) and Password. Then tick "Grant this contact access to companyname.worketc.com"

Now when you create a project associated with that customer, you can simply enable the Customer Access setting on that project.

Customers may perform the following functions from within their secure project viewing area;
  • Read project description and progress percentage.
  • Read/Send Emails
  • Upload Documents
  • Download Documents
  • Set reminders

Clients cannot view any Comments or Tasks.
