Inconsistency in declaring values in invoice?

Hello!
I made a sample invoice according to the HTML tag reference. When looking at the invoice preview and PDF values in the invoice contain a seemingly jumbled declaration of currency. For example if I use <veetro:invoiceshippingvalue name="total" /> I get the sum with the currency symbol after. However if I use [INVOICE TAXES TOTAL] I get the sum without the currency symbol.

I understand you are mixing old and new tags in the reference. I guess it would be good to make it more coherent whether to show the currency symbol or not for tags?
