While it does not delete the item, it removes it from your 'active items'. You can restore completed activities to your active items by selecting ''Unarchive."

When will something display in “People” Tab of a project?#33
A project, task, etc will display in the people tab if someone is a “Creator” or assigned to that item. You know that someone is the creator because their name follows the "by" field. You know that someone is assigned to because there name follows the "for" field. You of course can modify who is listed as the creator or who is assigned to a project at anytime.

What's the difference between a Project, ToDo or Timesheet?#13
ToDos are independent tasks with no affect on the progress of a project. Projects/Project Tasks are a collection of phases/milestones. Timesheets are recorded to keep track of the work performed.
